Buddy, you're absolutely correct. This was one of the primary arguments for not starting this war, as was thoroughly discussed--but well ignored--on SI's DON'T START THE WAR thread.

I'm still curious to know how a 'war on terror' can be won using the Bush-Cheney methodology.

All I've seen is a strong theorcacy on the rise in Iraq; a tremendous increase in electing Muslim Brotherhood candidates in Egypt and an outright trouncing election for Hamas in Israel. And if anyone had recently read the NYT relative to Bush's trip to India where he exchanged nuclear secrets for fruit--in violation of the non-proliferation treaty--they would have read about a gathering army of suicide bombers making public statements about how ready they are to commit to action.

I never expected Bush or Cheney to become good gardeners; but they sure are great are growing new terrorists, and ones who will operate in a transparent world! Indeed, the end result of the path Bush and Cheney have chosen become fascism--clear and simple!
