One possible explanation that comes to mind is they may be thinking about selling in the future, perhaps to a brokerage house or something, so they would want to have things segmented and in order.

I continue to look at SI daily but am also a "grandfathered" member. As you know it's a always a tough call to support your existing customer base ( especially those that generate no revenue) while attempting to right the ship financially. I think you're being a bit rough on those that "own" SI. I have no idea of their motivations or financial status but..........as a free member for a VERY long time I appreciate the fact that they grandfathered us in the first place in order to maintain the high quality discussions that threads like yours have provided "newbies" and oldies alike. I wish them luck in keeping the boat afloat and hope that we can continue to support your great discussion thread in whatever category it ends up in.....and yes.........I prefer it as an investment thread...........if you need a vote :-) By the way.............you mentioned your "Home" site a few posts ago..........is it active again ? I enjoyed a few months of banter there a few years back with the likes of Joe... Be well, Mike
