re: you part about reduction of the arsenal?

I'm going to take a WAG what you mean.

No, the issue is giving technology to India, a non-participant in the NPT. Bush, in essence, blew up the treaty that has been supported by every President since Nixon. A huge step backward, just at the moment we are trying to enforce the treaty.

re: Iran is an openly hostile power that used force against US civilians. The act that is usually characterized as terrorism. US should be free to bomb any Iran military facilities let alone the once that maybe used for WMD development

We are free to do whatever we want, but that doesn't mean there will not be severe consequences. A true Arab oil embargo, at this point in time, would throw the country into a very, very severe recession. It wouldn't just be about the price of oil, it would most likely be about a shortage, rationing, non-delivery of goods, emergency services...

I know you think we are omnipotent, but the truth is we are hugely dependent on the rest of the world.

Iran is an openly hostile power that used force against US civilians.

You mean in 1979? It's a little late to attack them for that, don't you think?

Has Iran kidnapped any Americans in the past 1-2 decades?
