but I don't invest in war profiteers, even though it would be very profitable.

So tell us Chris.. what soft and fuzzy corporations do you invest in?

I see a danger in the marriage of corporations and government, AKA fascism, or as Mussolini used to like to call it, corporatism.

And I see an additional danger from the marriage of stupidity and socialistic liberal wackos such as yourself.

Corporation fill a need and provide a private market solution so that the government doesn't have to create new (and often incompetent) agencies, or hire a bunch of "lifer" government workers that can't be fired (although I have great respect for many of the government folks I worked with).

It provides FLEXIBILITY so that when there is no longer as great a need for manpower to perform a particular mission, they can terminate the contract.

But believe me, I agree there is a lot of waste, fraud, and abuse amongst corporations and their government contracting officers (CO) who manage them.

But that's not the fault of the corporations, who's job is to maximize their profit while providing the contracted services.

The responsibility rests upon the COs who are supposed to ensure the government is receiving the greatest benefit for each taxpayer dollar.

Btw, if you don't like "corporatism", maybe you'd prefer Islamo-Fascism??

Or maybe you'd prefer to sit on your @ss and complain about everything, without doing something about anything...

That also seems to be the hallmark of liberals of your ilk.
