Karen Lawrence, you said: "Bush singlehandedly incurred "hatred of the USA throughout the world."

<=========================================================>

Yes, we are hated by most of the racist, religiously intolerant moslem world and by most brutal dictators around the world. North Korea hates us. Cuba hates us. Well..... except for the Cuban people, who would love to escape their enslavement by Castro and come to the US. Germany hates us. Hmmmm!? Not true. Germany now has a pro-US leader. Australia? They support us. England? They support us. Canada? They hate us. Hmmmm!? Wait a minute. Canada just elected a pro-US leader. Mexico? Do they hate us?

Do you stay up late worrying, at night, because North Korean leaders, or Iranian leaders, or Cuban leaders, or other despots hate us?

You also said: "Hey, I don't like either party right now. Throw them all out and start over, ... "

We imperfect humans have imperfect leaders. Our leaders are not chosen because of their capabilities, or planning or analytical abilities but by how well they speak. The smoother the talker, the more votes he or she gets. It will always be this way. Throw out all of our government and you will only get more of the same or worse.

I choose the Republican Party, currently, because they seem to have a much better understanding of important issues, including the moslem threat against us and the rest of the civilized world.

Yes Karen, if you want a real oxymoron it is "republican ethics". They have effectively shut down the ethics committee.

"One thing is clear: Republicans on Capitol Hill are no longer entrusting security issues solely to Mr. Bush. They now realize that in some cases, they must protect themselves."

The wheels have come off the proverbial cart.Can't the rightists on this thread finally see their leader as he really is..................DICK CHANEY!
