Doug those numbers look pretty impressive and would stem the tide quite a bit regardless of what AMD delivers in the fourth quarter...AMD must be tweaking something to their core by the fourth quarter...no? I guess it also comes down to how many of those 2.66 ghz conroes they can pump out also...plus the motherboards for AM2 should be better optimized by then ...

And look how good AMD did in F.E.A.R where:

1) It's the only gaming benchmark that we're using that doesn't use an Intel provided demo. This is the same demo we use in our tests.

If you had any doubts about the results on the previous page, this one should convince you. Even when running a non-Intel created demo, Conroe offers a 41% performance advantage over the 2.8GHz Athlon 64 X2.
