And I'm sure you believe AMD was actually making money, reaching record desktop marketshare, and AMD's stock hitting $40 during the Athlon XP years when its overall performance was slightly lower than the Pentium 4.

I guess you believe that no one would ever notice the Athlon 64 FX getting Sempronized. You might not but many others would, including every hardware site that reviews Conroe.
