...Or because Intel had SMP turned off for both systems so that Intel's choking FSB wouldn't be too distracting.

ok, there was some statements about intel's gain over current intel architecture so let compare apples-to-apples

conroe is about 50% faster than fx-60 (without overclocking)

32/1.5/73=.29 or about 3+ times faster than current architecture

wow, what a "leap ahead", LOL
