yes but $400 million above consensus is not much, only an avg. $100 million per q above. the google las vegas must fly past the numbers, not barely exceed. margins getting squeezed are far more important than a few hundred million extra in revenues. that is why the street is skittish.

anyway i'm glad that you understand that the $9.5 billion is for '06 NOT '07 as some think, and of course it excludes traffic acquisition costs.

some people (not you) think that the $9.5 billion compares to the $9.19 billion for instance listed as analyst estimates for '07 on yahoo finance.

others (not you) see $6.57 billion for '06 and think that $9.5 billion is 45% higher than estimates, forgetting to subtract the tac's.

who really cares about the numbers? they're irrelevant for the short-term. they only matter longer-term, and longer-term this stock will crumble like all high-fliers do.

it's all psychology at this point.
