AMONG the many positive stories you aren't being told about Iraq, the media ignored another big one last week: In the wake of the terrorist bombing of the Golden Mosque in Samarra, it was the Iraqi army that kept the peace in the streets.

That's odd.

I saw Robert Jensen (Univ. of Texas) on Scarborough tonight, and he contends we have lost (not "are losing") in Iraq, and he's glad for that.

Joe was astounded by that. Asked him, do you really believe that, that we've lost in Iraq and it's a good thing?

Although Jensen would not answer directly, he more or less acknowledged that this is what he believes.

Amazing, truly amazing. Glad that guy is not teaching my kid.
