Re: I read somewhere that Anand was the only person who had access to 2 systems for an hour.

it is not really a 3rd party testing

re: Did Intel release the benchmark to others? Apparently not. Clue#2, Anand is handpicked

it might be against sec regulations to release info to a single source - even if it is not it is still not a clean way of doing it. The claim is that a number of manufacturers have samples and under NDA so it is not like intel did not have sufficient number of chips to distribute for proper 3rd party evaluation

Hexus also has a review which I mentioned earlier. I wouldn't be surprised if other people had, or will have, time with the systems as well.

hexus.net

HEXUS managed to get down and dirty with some sweet Conroe love. Yep - you heard it right we have managed to snag some time with the new Intel architecture some 4 months before it is believed to be released.

I think IBM more into service now rather than hardware

No doubt. But everything IBM is big numbers, so at AMD-level it's into hardware too. (It only got out of commodity.) If deep pockets is the only thing keeping AMD from achieving its true potential, and if that marketsize is not insignificant at IBM-level, then there is meaning.

Maybe not IBM altho IBM can use some catalyst
