Delay is pure corruption. And proud of it. The GOP should exorcize creeps like him from their party. They set a terrible example for the nation,. and this kind of corruption costs taxpayers hundreds of billions of dollars.

I've seen a lot of Texas in the last 50 years, and frankly I don't hold old much hope for it in the forseable future. In the 1980s the state got flooded with people angry that their jobs and chances and history were all lost in the rust belt implosion. This also displaced a lot of natives who had a comfortable, if low cost life. They all seem determined take out their anger on someone. Dare to be Stupid is the new state motto. Austin is somewhat of an island of sanity but I don't expect it to last forever. There is too much jealousy out there and a willingness to hurt people even if there is no personal advantage to be gained. We provide a lot of travel for our kids so they can have options when chickens come home to roost. TP
