The Shah's son would love to go back and take over. I just cannot see Iran going that way. The mullahs seem to be aware of how tenuous their grip on power is. They employ goons and a violent security apparatus. I sometimes wonder how proud Jimmy CArter is of himself for causing this. Of course Carter appearing to be a blithering idiot, may still deny his having caused this. Why would Iranians risk being whisked away during the night? Fear is very intimidating. We cannot predict what an effective catalyst would be, but there are probably many brewing.
