We've had it too easy for too long. The WWII generation is fast dying off. Hippie power is running our press and higher learning institutions with their total lack of values. We are a train wreck looking for a place to happen. Don't forget Alexander Tyler's Eight Stages of Democracy. I think we're somewhere in the continuum between apathy and dependence.
