The NRA is a closet white supremicist organization. It'sd also a lobbyist group for the weapoins industry. A pro-death industry, not pro-life. Also, it's got nothing to do with gun safety. That's just their excuse for promoting more and more high-powered weapons in the hands of rightwing white guys. We saw them during Katrina remember, talking about wanting to go down and shoot "looters" (code for blacks). We already have state militias called the National Guard and don't need those bloated rightwingers with military arsenals. Also, the 2nd Amendment does not guarantee anyone the right to own military hardware.
