Maybe I missed it. I didn't see anything about state regulations in the decision. Or maybe your expanding the conversation and I didn't pick up on it.

In any case the only proper constitutional limit on the states power in this area that would effect many possible regulations would be the feds power to control interstate and international commerce. I interpret that power more narrowly then some. For example I don't see how you can make federal laws against drugs on the basis that drug use can effect interstate commerce. In general I would support the state's right to make environmental regulations for intra-state activity.
