Thanks for the source. I agree with your point on Iran's moderates. Our neighbors down the street are from Iran, and their feeling is that most Iranians are very pro-West after years of repression. Although it does take time, I think a better strategy is to flood a repressive state with pro-Western ideas. A slow strategy, to be sure, but it is what beat the USSR and will beat China in our lifetime, imo. Of course, more overt threats must be dealt with more quickly, but preferably by a coalition.
