Re: It doesn't really matter which deity the shamans purport to represent, the pattern is the same. I disagree: the shamans' deity DOES matter. Most European countries have scrapped religious fantasies as political instruments and moved on to a post-Christian paradigm... We don't have Jesus freaks over here, there's no Bible Belt, and creationism and "intelligent design" are viewed as crackpot lunacies only crazy Americans can fall for....
