DPW is pulling out of the port deal as a result of the House committee vote yesterday. Dubai has said they will pull out of several large investments, including an aircraft purchase from Boeing.

The port deal met a Congressional stone wall.

That's business.

Add Dubai to the conservative Republicans as getting an "F" in global economics.

Paying more for airplanes (or buying shitty airplanes from primitive Europe) doesn't relate to political accidents. That's BAD business. Dubai has an obligation to take their lumps and move on.

The Republican conservatives have the chance to immediately repeat the course in global economics, and can be expected to do better next time (unless the curriculum revolves around labor flows from Mexico to the US.)

The possibility of a "good" Islam, however, has been mole-whacked back into its hole, and may or may not re-emerge...
