I'll bet the UAE is offering Bush a huge bribe once he leaves office. There's no other rational explanation for why Bush is making this stinker of a deal his #1 priority.

Any historians on the thread? Has a veto for a DUMBER reason ever been threatened? Has any President ever threated a veto to protect a business deal between two foreign companies over a strategic US asset?
