You have to understand I've done this kind of work before more than once, plus I have an advantage that my husband works on huge multilevel construction jobs so I have contacts with vendors and suppliers as well as his expertise. If the house was left to only me, instead of me and my five siblings I'd have done it in a heartbeat because it was a piece of cake renovation that could be completed within two months with a couple of able guys and a lot of phone calls. It just wasn't worth it if I had to split the profit six ways and there was no way I wouldn't have wound up paying for it in the long run if I had decided to buy out the others and then do the renovation to bring the house up to full value.
