Now they're just "Germans." In fact, immediately after the war, they were just "Germans." Were they ambassadors and other high officials? If not, not the same. If he was just some shmuck that put on a black turban in Kandahar, and thought the Talibs were great as home baked cookies, there'd be no problem. But he was a high official of the regime, and he carries that as a black mark forever. He wasn't under duress, he didn't "have to do it" out of necessity - he chose his role, or at least chose not to turn it down. He chose his mark, and he deserves the consequences. Derek
