I am having a tough time discerning what the Taliban did that is causing you to fulminate like this. Do you think they flew airplanes into the World Trade Center? Or even took part in that? Yes, they did - they certainly sheltered, protected and obeyed (it was a close two way relationship) Al Qaida, and were perfectly in synch with the ideology that says flying airplanes into infidel World Trade Centers was a great idea. They supported the jihad. They supported the training camps and the attacks. They implemented a harsh Salafi Sharia, and they had no problem with slaughtering en masse anybody they themselves declared infidels. They killed thousands when they took Masar al Sharif. The dead were Shia, and Hazara to boot, so it was perfectly okay and according to the rules of jihad.
