"why does God allow innocent people to suffer the torture? Or suffer at all?" Our bodies are not made to live forever or to not suffer the diseases of old age. Our bodies are only a frame that within us are the indestructible spirit or soul that lives into eternity in heaven or hell. God did not want atomotons that obeyed him without question. To me it's pretty simple. We could have lived in a perfect world had Adam and Eve obeyed God. They had the free will to obey him out of love or to disobey. They chose to disobey and that is why sickness, disease and death are with us. However God provided a way out to those who chose to serve him. Jesus Christ. Christ took all of our sin on him and provided a way for us to escape the death sentence imposed on mankind. God sees us from a different perspective. To him this life is but a test for us. Do we pass or fail? We still have the decision to enjoy the pleasures of Paradise. Believe on him with all of your heart and all of your mind. Santi
