Traditionally, countries and people act in their own short term interests, even if they misunderstand those interests. I am sure that is happening now with G20.

G20 seems like a good idea like slavery seemed great fun for the plantation owners. The non-persons from the non-G20 can take what they are given which seems absolutely spiffing - for now.

We can check back in 2050 and see how it turned out. I think anarchy is not a good way to run a railroad. I read the Arabian Nights decades ago, as a youngster, not that I can remember it much. But the international system seems to be the Arabian Nights writ large.

Which seems a dopey idea to me.
