This bill is going to overturn 200 state laws that protect our food supply," said Representative Henry Waxman (news, bio, voting record) (D-Calif.). "Why are we doing that? What's wrong with our system of federalism?"

Yeah, what's wrong with our gov't? He's asking? Shouldn't he know? Hell, how did things get so screwed up?

RE: "House votes to remove food label warnings"

You've got to be kidding me.

Watching this govt do evil, is like watching a horror movie in slow motion. And it keeps getting worse and worse.

RE: "State warnings about mercury in fish would remain. Legislators amended the bill to let states keep those warnings."

Oh my how generous of the male-dominated Congress leaders.

You'll note they had to go back and edit the bill and "amend the bill" to permit states to warn about mercury in fish. You know what that means? It means they essentially wrote a bill with zero intention of permitting any warnings whatsoever.

Really, the USA needs to be split into two. There are some things you just don't compromise.
