<<Because of his age McCain tells Rudy I promise to stand for President for only one term and will support you for the second four years. >>

Like when Reagan was older than McCain?

Guiliani will never get the GOP nomination. He is not only pro-choice and pro-gay but has all sorts of other personal baggage that rightwing conservatives would never be able to stomach. Guiliani's best bet would be Attorney General.

McCain has the nomination unless the rightwing gangs up and takes it from him. If they do, the GOP will definitely lose in 2008. McCain though would be very tough for any democrat to beat.

They could call themselves "Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dumb".

Or maybe the single syllable "Frick and Frack" to help the Oprah crowd...

"A combination of McCain and Guilliano would be IMHO a tough one to beat."

Yes, in the general election that ticket would be highly likely to beat any ticket that the Dems would run --- but then, McCain ALREADY beats any Dem candidate in the polling, so he doesn't really need any help from a V.P. candidate to do that.

McCain's problem will be to win the primaries... and Guilliano has even *worse* problems with the Rep. base then McCain does.

Guilliano as a divorced pro-life 'NY liberal' doesn't exactly set conservatives hearts all a-flutter. :)
