No, Clinton's economy was full employment, paying as we went, even creating surpluses. Clinton's economy was fair and bright for all Americans. Bush's is only bright if you're rich and can live off your investments. No economy is perfect, but Clinton's was about as good as it gets. And it was sustainable. It didn't need fixing, but Bush changed it all around and threw out the baby with the bathwater.

What Clinton achieved is exactly what we need to get back to. The markets really responded when they knew the White House was fiscally conservative. We also need to trash Bush's pro-HMO pro-drug company health care system and get rid of the gouging. That's costing everyone dearly, including corporations. It's also hurting our global competitiveness.

"Actually he didn't. It was a false economy based on the dot-com craze which collapsed. Or, don't you remember?"

DJIA isn't "dot com". The DJIA went from 3000 to 11000 under Clinton/Rubin policies. My IRA index fund proves it!

Figures don't lie, but neocons do. You guys really HATE Clinton's record of economic success, don't you? It's all the chimp Caesar can do to keep it from cratering, despite all the misdirected tax cuts and bullshit "stimulus", none of which Clinton or Rubin needed.

"Clinton had a much better economy..."

Actually he didn't. It was a false economy based on the dot-com craze which collapsed. Or, don't you remember?

Is that the latest spin coming from the right? Its fairly lame......but of course that never stops you guys.

Clinton's economic expansion lastest 8 years.......the tech industry and its growth was a very small piece of that expansion. That's why the recession that followed was fairly shallow. The only reason we aren't back on top like we should be is becuase of Bush's economic policies or lack thereof.

In fact, Bush needs to be impeached!
