You are lumping in the whole religion in a generalization for the actions of a minority of that religion.

It holds the same amount of truth as saying "christianity bombs abortion clinics", or "Americans are heroin addicts".

It's not true on the whole. If every muslim believed in terrorism we would have a lot bigger problem than we do have now.

And also, why ignore history? Those who ignore it are condemned to repeat it's mistakes.

The point is that Islam has been hijacked by extremists today, and Christianity has been hijacked in the past. Neither are immune. To say that 'Islam is evil' based on current events would require the corollary 'Christianity is evil' (perhaps more so, based on history only).
