What it points out is how limited our intelligence in the middle east really is. Acting on limited intelligence is very unwise as we can all see in hindsight. The intelligence was doctored. There was no oneed for a VP to make those frequent visits to CIA headquarters befor the war. Why was he meddling? What was his interest in meddling with the CIA. That he and his office had an agenda of deception anf forcing things through is evident from the Valerie Plame case. The intelligence was doctored so that the entire world, Congress included were falsely led to believe that Saddam was a dangerous man.
