I would bet even money that you could sell all of your GPS units on EBay. Heck, I might buy one if the price were right. What kind of batteries do they take? There are a lot of collectors out there who want a ‘first of its kind’ product like the first Macintosh computer. I heard the old Hot Wheels from the ‘60s are in high demand, with one selling for $3000! If someone can sell toast with an image of the Virgin Mary, you gotta be able to sell a working GPS unit. Crazy times.

The whole area of using GPS to locate and analyze resources is call geographical information systems, or GIS for short. I started hearing about this some time ago and I’m sure that the market has gotten bigger over time, but I just can’t wait 15 years to unload shares in a company. If you’re interested in seeing what’s happening now, you can check out gis.com.

Best of luck to you in your investments. I don’t have much more to share about Trimble, so we might let this board return to its slumber, but if you have questions about GPS, I can try to answer them.
