You might be fortunate and find that the Arabian Nights version of international relations was as bad as the Arab version. You might find that out as early as this year. If you closely scrutinize the international situation, you might notice that a bunch of dead and maimed Americans and British, not to mention loads of Iraqis and others have already been created, along with $trillions in costs. So, we can safely say that the existing system has already failed to work. One definition of insanity is keeping doing something and expecting a different outcome. You don't need to wait until 2050 to get an approximate idea of the outcome. But you might find New York leveled by an atomic bomb before then and that would be much more impressive than just a couple of tall buildings going down. I'm surprised that the USA is so unimaginative that it copies the olde style Arab version of international relations. Flattering to the Arabs of course. Quite funny really. But the USA is in good company, as Zimbabwe, Russia, China, Japan, India and the others subscribe to the same idea. I don't like the system. I think the USA will also live to regret the system. I know Pax Americana and PNAC and all that jazz with the USA first among unequals and foreigners being non-persons seems like a great idea. Emperors always love their power and are perplexed that the seething masses don't love them in return. It's great being top dog in a dog eat dog world - but things change. If it's broke, fix it.
