If one takes the time to really study Christianity the simple core principle is that God's love for all men is unconditional. That rationally leads to all should treat others as they wish to be treated. Implicit in that is a natural tendency to overcome fearing others and a tolerance of others.

That leads to secular success on far far larger scales than does motivations based upon intolerance. At the core of Islamic doctrine, the Muslim words of God are exclusionary and intolerant. Islam is a religion of peace only if one believe many parts of the Koran are literally false and speak of some figurative internal spiritual war. That is quite complex, God is simple and men are complex.
