Islam became a center of technology, trade, and learning because of its tolerance of other religions. Jews from Spain and other parts of Europe fled the genocide of the Inquisition to a safe haven where the only penalty for not following the state religion was an additional tax. Jews and Christians were allowed to worship freely in the Islamic world; the inverse was certainly not true. Heretics (anyone not following the exact letter of the religious law) were tortured and burned at the stake. I'm curious: are you immune to facts, or do you have to fight them off?
