Hence, as Ted understated, it doesn't really matter whether whites make up a mere 40% of the total US population. As an ethnic monolith, 40% of whites will always weigh more than 15% of blacks, 10% of Asians, 1% of Arabs and 20% of Hispanics taken SEPARATELY. It's then a matter of political savvy --the old divide-and-rule trick-- for the white minority to keep lording it over the non-white majority... For instance, it makes sense for whites in the Sun Belt to join with Hispanics against others... Contrariwise, in NY, Michigan, Illinois,... whites will make common cause with blacks, etc. just like minority shareholders can form board coalitions to attain a voting majority. Gus
