Clinton did move against the USS Cole killers. A team of FBi agents were sent and they eventually got their guy. But the terrorist recently escaped from prison. CLinton fired 150 Cruise Missiles at Bin Lauden's assets despite harsh rightwing criticism. The rightwing wanted everyone to focus on Monica Lewinsky and not Al Qaida. That was their priority. By the time Bush got in, he knew damn well Bin lauden was the #1 threat to the US. Clinton's outgoing people warned Bushies about Al Qaida. Bush was evgen warmed on 8-6 that Osama was about to strike inside the US using hijackings or WMD. However, neither Bush nor any of his security chiefs (Rice, Ashcroft, Rumsfield) did a damn thing about counter-terrorism until AFTER 9-11, and then they tried to fix for blame on 9-11 on Saddam. Bush is about as good at counter-terrorism as he was in Iraq or after Katrina. AWOL, asleep at the wheel and mostly talk, no action. You must be nuts supporting him after the results of hyis misleadership are all in. And you can't blame Clinton or Dems. Bush had congress behind him and could have done anything he wanted. Instead, he totally screwed up on every level. He is now proven to be the worst prez in US history. Ulysees S. Grant is off the hook.
