"Liberal press" is a buncha BS. If it was a liberal press they never would have given the Swiftboat smear artists so much air time for free. Those guys were obvious liars but they got the star treatment. Therefore, the media is one of the accoplices of leting Bush cheat to get into power.

The mainstream media won't report anything like Bushie election fraud. The media these days is all owned by huge corporate interests and they all back Bush because he gives them tax breaks and many other favors.

The whole notion of the "liberal press" is a myth the rightwing perpetrated in the midst of taking over the media. Maybe it was true 20-30 years ago after Vietnam and Watergate proved the rightwing was corrupt, but no longer.

Radio is still 90% rightwing. TV is slightly to the right. Only in a few venues are things liberal or open-minded. Like Comedy Central. gg

I am ashamed to say my brother might be one of them.

Now the Kool Aid drinkers I know keep saying "it's Congress".

What the hell does that mean. Oh I know, it's "Democrats", right ? The hypocrisy is nearly total actually. Many people I know who are Right Wing out here in the Bay Area really did well under Reganomics because they were in the right place at the right time, not because Reganomics was ever a sound policy for the country as a whole. Of course, they did work hard, but lots of people have worked hard and not gotten a lot for it, as the wealth transfer from the "bottom 90%" to the top 0.1% that's been taking place shows.

Like Orwell said, there are people you can't dialogue with, like Communists and vegetarians. Add the Kool Aid drinkers to that list.
