Personally I see the boom box as a big flop. Can't see anyone who would want it and it's not like there aren't a lot of other solutions out there in smaller packages and at much cheaper prices.

I see the ipod line as getting old in the tooth and Apple's recent new product introductions were less than inspiring. MSFT Origami may not an ipod killer, I don't think it was intended to be, but it's sure a lot better than an ipod boom box or a mac mini w/ Intel inside.

OT Apple

The video on demand business is taking off and I am waiting for an Apple TV with intel chips. Probably some "super video Ipod" with external speakers and monitor. How far are they away from this would you say?

Video servers on google are filling up, and people are starting to see how easy it is to charge for videos like lectures for college classes and the like. So its a bottom up trend. Musicians can make more money creating a video and charging a buck on google video than they make with a standard recording industry contract.

btw on the stocks- google apple and broadcom (plus others I am sure) pretty much fell in concert the past month, Jim Cramer has called it a hot stock correction, theres obviously no product issues behind it, some management issues for google but nothing for brcm or aapl that I know of, we just need to see if this housing decline is really going to pull down the economy or not. jmo
