I'll tell ya, Hawk, this present GOPwinger Administration is one sick crowd I don't know if they are any worse that previous administrations. Hell, I remember the Chinagate scandals in the Clinton administration were bordering on, if not actual, treason. There was the very supressed matter on the Elk Hills Oil Reserve that just happened to be sold at the urging of Al Gore. And funny enough, it managed to be purchased in reportedly less than ethical manner by OXY, in which Al Gore now has a substantial stake inherited from his mother. And then there's Vince Foster. Filegate.. Mogadishu (Les Aspin refusing to grant the US commander's request for armored support as a Quick Reaction Force that ultimately led to the events of "Blackhawk Down".. And I haven't even touched Monica, Paula or Whitewater... And btw, Abramoff had his client pay a lot of money to a few Democrats.. But the MSM doesn't seem to care about that, now do they?? And now we have Hillary and Shumer playing partisan politics over the Dubai issue and creating the circumstances where Arabs are even MORE alienated by this perceived racism against them. Yet, Bush is paying the cost... The problem I see here is that Democrats are very good backseat drivers.. In fact a buddy of mine gave me a good explanation for why Congress and the White House were given to the Republicans by the Voters. He made the analogy that Bush and Cheney are like the parents and the Democrats are like a couple of children whining and moaning in the back seat.. The parents are inevitably take all the crap, but do you really want to let the children take the wheel when they have no idea what they are doing, and clueless about where to go?? Let the Democrats show more maturity and responsibility for creating sound policies for this country and I'll give them more credit. But I think a lot of people like myself are unwilling to give them power, no matter how much we may think Bush has screwed up, because the Democrats don't have any plausible alternatives. They just want to b*tch and point fingers. And people like Joe Lieberman are told to shut up and not try and lead the liberals into more of the main stream.. Anyway.. enough of my rantings and ravings.. You have a good weekend too!! Hawk
