The Smearvet operation was run by Rove and his "PR" people. Smearvets were paid for by the GOP-money man CEO of Perry Homes in Houston, which recently got 26 million in kickbacks from the Delay Foundation, a phony charity slush fund for corporate donors to buy legislation and secretly pay for political dirty tricks. The Delay Foundation is supposed to be for needy kids but it's main beneficiary seems to be the smearvets and lobbyists taking plush golfing trips. Larry Thurlow, one of the biggest smearvet liars, acknowledges getting a home from Perry. Like at a very steep discount. Pure corruption. You lie, we pay. Not a single smearvet ever fought with Kerry. 98% of them never met him. Many of them had their names used without permission and were furious about it. Many of them were long-time GOP political operatives, including the leader O'Neill who lied every time he opened his mouth. The other Smearvet leader Jerome corsi is a virulent racist bigot extreme rightwinger. Admiral Hoffman was known as a ultra rightwing leader in Nam who ordered Vietnamese villages to be burned down. However even he always called Kerry a great "hero" until the election. A lot of Bushie money was laid on the few vets who lied to smear Kerry. Not a single one of their charges was true. Nothing. All 100% lies.
