I agree with some of that, but not other stuff.

First of all Jon Stewart, today, is not free. You pay through the nose to see him, actually, with your cable bill every month which is about 3x more expensive than it should be imho.

I recently thought about how much VOD I could buy with $60 per month. Much more than I watch, for sure. And a lot of the google content, unlike iTunes, will be financed with ads. So figure with your $60 in a pure PPV world, you can get a month of say, Stewart, Desperate housewives, American Idol, Olympics coverage, whatever else you watch with the news being free.

For me, I'd come out ahead on this deal.
