Are US voters ready for some strong medicine? Because Bushies have made such a mess out of things that the only common sense solutions will be to do a few things people don't like to do --

For instance, paying more taxes (especially the wealthy), more government control and regulation of corporate interests which have been gouging us, trimming Social Security and re-joining the world community in a humbler way.

Also gas taxes will be necessary to fund clean fuels programs. Speed limits may be necessary. And there are going to have to be a lot of trials of corrupt politicians which will cause a lot of national shame. Bush's impeachment itself will be no laughing matter. It will be very sad for our nation.

Finally, Iraq may have to be given up on, at great risk. None of these are very attractive, but all of them may be necessary to save the good ship USA and get us back on the track of sustainability.
