"We might as well finish the job. Iran and Syria are the only bad apples left standing in the Middle East. It would take much to finish this thing off and then bring our troops home."

Good point. If we aspire to rogue nation status, why not go whole hog? I can't think of anything that would guarantee binding the rest of the world together to try to wipe us off the face of the map. Imagine, China supplies the troops, Russia the nuclear weapons and Europe supplying the weaponry...

From an American standpoint, it was purely an air war. In Iran, we don't want to wage a ground war. Why would we? Our objective would not be regime change or occupation, rather it would be destruction of all nuclear facilities and ground to air missiles.

They are mostly underground.

We could reduce their military-industrial complex to dust and set them back decades.

That would be such a huge mistake. When do you guys ever learn?

That would be worth it. Hell, we've already spent $400B in the middle east since all of this crap began. We might as well finish the job. Iran and Syria are the only bad apples left standing in the Middle East. It would take much to finish this thing off and then bring our troops home.

What you all are finishing is the US, not the ME.
