same thing happens everyday to blacks who are minding their own business but pass through or live in a predominately white neighborhood or town. i had a friend at lunch(years ago) tell us his kid, home from college for a week was shaken down by local cops as he was walking up the street. this was during noon. i found it upsetting that my friend and his family are still subject to such shake downs and this was outside philly (Norristown). Of course i assume the kid was stopped because of color and he may have had the appearance of someone they were looking for. I jumped to the judgement of color, not clothing, etc. Oh, my friends mom and dad matched with King, he and his family were orig from chicago. ( his kid was on a full baseball scholarship in mid west college) of course, i could have been wrong but i do believe being a minority in any country puts you at a disadvantage.
