What's your take? To some degree I think the guy is right but then it depends exactly what he's saying is good. BTW I think the comparison to Iraq in the article is unfair. IMO Iraq is not a mess because of some failure of democracy, but rather its like Yugoslavia.......it was held together by a strong leader.

However, I also think that the ME may have to develop its own version of democracy or at least needs to go through an intermediary step. It seems to me that democracy and the ME is a very hard sell right now. Do you agree?
