It's hardly up to me to come up with completely thought out schemes to suggest we should walk down that path. I gather one of the ways we differ in terms of policy arguments is that you are more risk averse. You will only step, gingerly, into a new path if you think the path is completely safe. I think the problem is sufficiently alarming, widespread, and consequential, that we need to experiment with a variety of alternatives. Both in health care and in campaign financing. Good conversations about each will help all of us think them through.
