Hotel guests didn't flee. They spoke to news teams demanding the govt. get them out...in fact, they did get priority treatment over hospital patients, whose attending physicians were stupefied as a result.

America is used to seeing its own rise to heroism in times of unexpected disaster. (Excluding, of course, Democrats after 91101.)

The people of New Orleans didn't just exclude themselves from that, they disgraced the nation.

Starting with their cops wetting their pants and running away, to the constant parade of LOSERS sticking their faces in front of TV cameras to claim the hurricane was Bush's fault-and the feds should have saved their worthless asses-the people of New Orleans have proven themselves unworthy to be called American.

Anyone from New Orleans who posts here should try to dummy up for about ten years.....

What of tome of stupidity your post is. It pure victim villain idiocy.

No person in NO did not have an equal opportunity to learn about how to save their own ass.

Show me who physically restrained anyone in NO and did not allow them to follow the advice to get out of town.

Accidents happen, the levee failed because of a failure in the installation design. Humans make mistakes and sometimes people die as a result.

Any person who does not understand that is an idiot. And any person who whines about the suffering of those who seem not to understand that and try to fabricate victims are also idiots.

RDW, Having spent a lot of time in the cess pool called New Orleans, I will apologize to none of them. I do salute those that did fend for themselves and got out on their own. Those that did, are among a very small percentage.

FYI, The Governor prevented the Army Corps of Engineers, FEMA, and federal troops from entering New Orleans to help.

Don't try to tell me about cities that are vulnerable to natural catastrophes. I live in Florida, 15 miles from the Gulf of Mexico, from which we got 5 hurricanes last year, but nobody went around crying for federal help. They pulled up their boot straps, and went to work, after they buried their dead. Before I moved to Florida, I lived in Texas near the coast, and we did the same there. People signed up for what ever aid was to come, but nobody bitched about it.

I have no way of knowing what your father did, or did not do, and your rage doesn't faze me at all.
