I agree. They had no transportation. However, in one newscast, which played during that time, medical workers waiting with critically ill patients were left stranded while a bus picked up hotel guests to whisk them away. I do not blame any of the victims of NOLA at all. Helping people during catastrophes is when government is at its best. This NOLA debacle, unfortunately, was government at its worst.
