NO question, Fidel has figgered out how to stop the drowning from hurricane hits.....

odd that he can't figger a way to stop them from drowning while they're swimming for thier lives towards Miami.....

I think it was Ivan and I think it mostly brushed the coast of Cuba

I would have taken medical help - but how doctors would have gotten there, into the city, would be the big question

many doctors in this country were waiting to get in - most of the roads and bridges were down - not to mention 80% of the city was flooded

and way off subject here is Fidel himself - he may know how to run a hurricane evac - I don't know, his press is controlled by him and he has a history of not being very honest

the standard of living in his country isn't too impressive

if I had been told Castro was on his way to help that week, it wouldn't have comforted me much

what did give me comfort was seeing General Russel Honore and his troops
