There is a great deal of misunderstanding about port security. Its FAR BETTER then these misguided politicians would have you believe. It is totally UNNECESSARY to open every container and totally inefficient. We have a defense in depth starting at the loading point and proceeding all the way to our ports. A huge amount is then scanned with devices to detect dead space, radiation and the like, only SUSPECT containers are opened. jdn
